Note: Prior to the séance sceptical new sitter Richard had spent quite a while planning some tests for the spirit team. As a result of this several unusual ‘toys’ had been placed in the centre of the séance room. Amongst these were a well-sealed box, a glass bottle and a heap of cutlery.
Also prior to commencement of the séance Jock Brocas had taken the time to extensively search the séance room before searching Warren himself. His report of this séance will be available shortly.
Critics take note! Warren had no advance warning that any searches would be taking place.The seance itself was a private demonstration. The sitters were all known to me and were invited by myself to attend.
Warren sat without independent support... Jon, Jerry and myself acted as his support team.

The séance began with sitters seated in blackout conditions. Warren had been thoroughly restrained by Jock, who was sitting with Warren for the first time.

There was much activity throughout the séance. The audio recording falls sadly short of demonstrating the reality of the phenomena witnessed by all those present. At one point Yellow Feather decided that a light fixture wasn’t safe…so he unscrewed it and handed the light bulb and shade to Jerry!

Yellow Feather asked for the plaque (a lightweight luminous tile) to be placed where all could see it. He then asked first Jerry and later Jon (on the opposite sides of the room) to place their hand upon his (his seen to lay on the plaque)…he then covered their hand, and asked them to place their second hand on top. Basically…the plaque was floating in mid air…with all hands upon it:

Yellow Feather gives Jock a shock! Jock was actually scared when Yellow Feather walked across the room towards him. He expected to get a 'slap in the chops'! We all wish we could have seen his face!

When the lights were switched on at the end of the seance Warren was seen to be sitting on the floor of the empty cabinet, with his hands and arms bound tightly together with cable ties and rope. He had lost his T shirt and sweater (Bill was holding his T shirt as it had arrived upon his lap during the seance). The waist cord was knotted into this and attached to the curtain track above. Also attached to the curtain track was a bunch of cutlery, knotted and bound. An cord hung from the light fitting...which held the box, and some further knotted cutlery. On the floor were various bent pirces of cutlery, and of course the medium's chair was out there also. Chaos! Excellent!

The Richard Story:
Richard is my youngest son. When I started the Bristol Spirit Lodge circle, just over four years ago, for the purpose of developing and demonstrating Physical Mediumship, my family were all concerned for my safety and sanity! I simply had no experience of the subject, and there is no known psychic gift within my family.
From my point of view, I had sat in seance with Warren Caylor several times and simply wanted to learn more about Physical Mediumship. I felt that what I had witnessed in seance with Warren was perfectly natural...and that, probably, given the Intent to develop the ability, anyone could do it!
My sister is a devout Christian who strongly believes that one mustn’t get involved with Mediums. Most of my family are 'standard C of E'. Therefore…for me to announce that I was going to build a shed and sit in the dark to talk to dead people caused genuine family concern.
My youngest son was still living at home at the time the first lodge was built. He was therefore most affected by the general family negativity. His father was particularly anxious, as of course Richard would chat to him about mum’s perceived 'dark arts'…and as his father's concern mounted, of course it confirmed Richard’s own scepticism. Things were difficult for me, but were often worse for Richard. I had no experience, but I knew what I wanted to do. He, and everyone else, were simply baffled by my interest in something so totally perverse.
Richard has therefore spent the last five years hearing about ‘what mum does’ whilst feeling that it’s all wrong, or that it can’t be happening...so mum’s making it up, or has gone mad, because no-one else approves of what I'm doing.
Tonight...Richard came along to prove Warren a fake. Obviously, before allowing him to sit in the seance room I went through every aspect of the séance rules with him many times and I told him that I would respect his decision ‘true or fake’ at the end of the séance….but I would only do so if he did his job properly and didn’t break any of the séance rules.
The date of Richards inclusion was set because I knew that Jock Brocas was also coming to the seance, and that Jock was to take an investigative role that evening, and would afterwards publish an honest report of the séance himself. Jock is an accomplished author and his books are sold worldwide. So…I linked the two men together (Richard is 26) and asked Jock to support Richard’s need to set up ‘tests’. In this way, whatever Richard wanted to try out, it’d be overseen by both myself and Jock. Seance safety and Warren's well being taking priority. No test would be trialled that might cause harm to anyone.
It turned out that all Richard wanted to do was to seal an empty box to see if the spooks could get into it...so it was no big deal in the end! Anyway…he happily sealed his box and he happily took a million photographs of everything in the seance room! He'd arrived early and examined the seance room for trap doors, wires, hidden loud speakers and so on and so forth. A true sceptic! The séance proceeded.
Richard wasn't sitting beside me. He was seated between Jerry and Lee...which meant that his chair was placed one seat along from the cabinet itself. This seating arrangement had been set by FC (my spirit friend and Circle guide). The above seance report details all that Richard, along with the rest of the sitters, witnessed.
After the event, back in the house, as we sat together around the table Richard could only say that he’d started out a total sceptic but that now he has a more open mind! He admitted that his mother is NOT insane, and I would therefore NOT be going into a lunatic assylum after all!
Well done to Warren and the spirit team! I am hoping that other family members might soon feel sufficient curiosity to come along to the Lodge to witness things for themselves…Richard will hopefully show the way....
