Blackout séance. 95 minute duration.

The lodge had been cleaned by Chris prior to the séance; and the door was then locked until Warren and the sitters arrived. No-one other than Chris had access to the lodge before the séance was held. As Chris holds many séances within the lodge, and as all are held on an experimental basis in order to satisfy her own personal curiosity regarding the nature of physical mediumship, and as she receives no payment whatsoever for holding such events, there would be little cause for her to set up paraphernalia that may be used fraudulently.
As sitters took their places Mike tied Warren into his chair. Mike was offered six cable ties and two lengths of strong cotton rope, by Chris, from which to select his chosen restraints. Warren himself knew nothing of what was to be offered, nor what would be used. He applied two cable ties to each wrist as restraints, each threaded through holes drilled in the wooden chair so that they could not be slipped back and forth along the arms. Mike also tied Warren’s legs together using a strong cotton rope with a clip fastening, as is more familiarly used for restraining horses. Warren was then gagged by Belinda and finally a cotton bag was placed over his head before the cabinet curtains were closed.
Following the opening prayer, when all light was extinguished, the séance began with music being played. Within a few minutes the familiar sounds caused by energy manipulation were heard. Tom, spirit child, then came through for a welcoming chat with sitters, taking note of the sweeties that were hanging under the small Christmas tree, which had itself been suspended in the middle of the room. He then withdrew, and Rachel came forward.

Rachel too welcomed sitters before Tom returned to play a whistle and mouth organ in time with ‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree’ with Rachel taking control of an accompanying lighting display. Bright blue and white spirit energy lights were seen within the cabinet, on the ceiling, and flashing around the lodge. Jon, Chris and Alan had each seen a light shooting across the room before this display had begun, and reports of small pin lights and larger circular lights were also made (some of these believed to be held within the floated trumpet).

As the active demonstration faded Yellow Feather came through to offer words of wisdom and humour to the world.

When Yellow Feather withdrew a further stunning musical and lighting display was demonstrated, again co-ordinated between Tom and Rachel.

As the evening progressed many and various small amusements became included by the spirit team for sitters amusement. A luminous glove had been provided by Warren, which the spirit team then used to provide a short animated and comical display. The trumpet levitated and merrily tapped sitters knees. Further small lights were seen, with several coming close to sitters faces as if in greeting. Sweets (those provided by Chris) were handed to sitters and Smarties were scattered around the room! Lots of sounds, knocking, banging, shuffling were heard. Two solid rubber rings (sturdy dog toys), again that had been provided by Chris, were then considered by the spirit team.

Yellow Feather went on to speak with sitters, giving personal messages to several, which they have chosen not to share publicly. He then took note of Dave's tie and shared banter began again.

Tom after this attempted to give a visual presention of his own face. This was somewhat successful, although not fully. However, from the point of view of sitters, it was apparent that the work carried out by the spirit team through Warren (as with all Medium's) remains of an experimental nature. It is only due to a medium's continuing dedication, and that of Spirit, that enables achievements and demonstration to be effected.
Setting this potential demonstration aside the spirit team then asked Mike (who had secured the medium within the chair) to approach the cabinet to check that the chair was empty, with the securing cable ties intact. He was then asked to sit within the chair.

Further banter and fun followed before the séance finally came to an end.
A very special evening. It is a privilege always to have the opportunity to witness physical phenomena demonstrated by Spirit within such a close environment amongst trusted friends who know each other well and are geniuinely dedicated with the subject of their interest.
At close of séance Warren was photographed back in his seat, again bound by the ties, but this time with the rope being tightly around his waist and with the two rubber rings, one on each arm. His jumper had also been removed (this had been projected in Alan's direction during the seance).
Note: The cable ties at first securing the medium's left arm to the chair are not now secured around the wrist but are instead placed with one hanging aside; and the other tightly binding his hand to the chair. The other two cable ties are around his right wrist and he is thus secured to the chair as per original restraint. This change is a minor detail, but one that requires to be honestly recorded.
